Writing is my solace.

It is also the most affordable form of therapy, a documentation of life as it rushes past furiously, and a highly useful skill.

But during the pandemic, I found myself writing lesser and lesser until I had produced nothing for nearly six months.

On my birthday this year, I decided I would write again, and write a lot.

I aimed to write for practice, discipline, and a dream of honing my craft.

I also wanted to create a repository of the book reviews and personal pieces that I had written.

So I published my first piece on Medium on August 8, and have been writing and publishing here as often as I can.

In 50 days, I have published 15 pieces. I have a curation rate of 60 percent to date, and have been approached by two publications to publish three pieces. One of my stories was also featured by Medium, and I was chosen as a Top Writer on Feminism around two weeks ago.

I have stopped pouring my energy into Instagram captions or long emails and begun noting my thoughts on Medium. I love looking at how much I have written, the sense of purpose…
