Today is our seventh wedding anniversary.

To me, his companionship has been a respite and solace. You were sent to this earth to comfort me, I often say to him.

This November, we took a major life decision. A few days later, I realized I wasn’t happy about it.

“I will undo it,” my husband calmly said, even though it would be a huge headache to revert the decision, “You do not have to worry about it.”

And I knew he would, as he has often untangled life’s knots for me.

The week we got married, I published a piece about my thoughts on marriage, the A to Z of it. On our anniversary, I enjoyed revisiting it:

Fairytales and movies show you how your wedding ought to be. Friends and family tell you how it is going to be. But finally, it is only you who will actually experience it the way it happens. As of now, the only way I can describe this bittersweet feeling is through words, random words. Some which I expected, and some which I never thought I would associate with marriage.
